You should join Zumba classes bro

Making me sound like a weak little p**sy compelled me to achieve the UNACHIEVABLE...

It was circuits day today.

“200 SQUATS NOW”

Hearing that all of a sudden,

I was left flabbergasted.

Just wishing to make it out alive,

I dived in the party.

Seeing 40% of us collapsed even before the half-way,

Sir’s eyes were fumed, red hot.

And to my bad luck,

I felt the muscle-mind connection right through my soul.

I was in AGONY.

150 squats in, we earned our first water-break.

Our energy had been donated away to the heavens above.

But little did I expect,

After seeing some beginner touching the grass,

Sir grabbed this extraordinary opportunity with both the hands

And the rep-count flew up to 500 now.

Poor me.

The short-felt break came to an end,

As the grueling set of 150 reps started.

I could feel each bead of sweat trickling down my body.

I could feel the deep, labored breaths leaving my mouth.

But immediately,

As I rolled my eyes left-right,

I saw bodies all around me.

LITERALLY DEAD 💀
(Eyes closed, laying on stomach in an uncanny way)

AI’s going crazy!

Carrying in hands, oh sorry

IN THEIR LEGS

The pride of humankind, we went all in.

The second set, the third set…

Backing up was not an option now.

450 reps in

I felt joining the “Dead Gang”

But when I saw the fiery intensity in Sir's eyes,

The idea quickly lost its appeal.

Until sir uttered out the words of wisdom,

“Veenit,

Join Zumba classes instead, you deserve to dance, little boy!”

Quads becoming rock-solid, longing for rest…

My mind refused to surrender.

Especially after hearing the lingering Zumba taunt.

Now, the three musketeers of man-kind,

Standing shoulder-to-shoulder

Went in for the last 50 reps to conquer.

Everyone looked at us in awe.

As we were the only hope.

And standing up to everyone’s expectations,

We made it through.

Achieving a round of applause,

And a heart-felt pat on our back from Sir himself.

I felt like a KING

Coming from a FOUR-TIME National Judo Champion,

It meant the world.

It made me realize the importance of completing a task

You push through,

Determined to see it through to the end.

As you persevere,

Something magical happens.

Not only do you complete the task,

But a sense of fulfillment and happiness washes over you.

Yes, you may be physically tired,

But deep down,

You feel an immense satisfaction,

Knowing that you didn't give up.

If I can do it, you can do it too.

Embrace those moments

Where you feel like giving up and push through.

Get those last few reps, jog for a more 5 minutes, work for a more half an hour.

Don't let the challenges discourage you.

The satisfaction and happiness that await you at the finish line are worth it.

I completely changed myself,

Top to bottom, in and out.

Losing 40 kgs wasn’t even near to close of what I thought, I’ll achieve.

I’ve written in detail on how I progressed HERE

If you want to stay connected,

And share your stories of triumph and perseverance,

Feel absolutely free to DM me on Twitter.

That’s it for the day folks.

We meet on the weekend now.

Peace,
V.
